The exact Diwali 2026 ordering deadlines
There are three deadlines depending on your order size and whether you want custom branded packaging. Missing the wrong one means either no branding, no delivery before Diwali, or both.
Use Indian Independence Day (15 August) as your mental deadline. If your branded Diwali hampers are ordered by 15 August, delivery before 20 October is guaranteed. After that date, we cannot guarantee branded hampers reach your team in time.
Why the deadlines are earlier than you might expect
Most UK and US HR managers assume they can order Diwali hampers in September. Here is why that assumption is wrong — and consistently leads to last-minute problems:
- Custom branding takes 2–3 weeks. Your logo needs to be printed on boxes, tissue paper, and message cards. That production process cannot be rushed without compromising quality.
- Every company in India gifts in October. Diwali is a national gifting moment — logistics networks across India are under maximum strain for the entire month of October. Delivery slots for bulk orders book out weeks in advance.
- Tier-2 city deliveries take longer. If your India team is spread across metros and smaller cities — which most remote-first teams are — Tier-2 city slots fill before metro slots.
- Approval rounds take time. Between quoting, hamper selection, branding preview, and payment — even a smooth process takes 7–10 days from first contact to confirmed order. Factor this into your timeline.

Branded vs unbranded — what is the difference and does it matter?
Branded hampers (recommended)
Your company logo is printed on the outer box, tissue paper, and packaging inserts. A personalised message card from your CEO or People Director is included, printed with your brand colours. The employee opens a hamper that clearly comes from your company — not a generic gifting service. This is the version that gets remembered, photographed, and talked about.
Unbranded hampers
Premium contents, standard packaging, no company logo. A generic message card can still be included. This is the option for companies who missed the branded deadline but still want to gift before Diwali. Better than nothing — but a significant step down in impact.
Our recommendation: Always go branded if you can meet the deadline. The difference in employee perception between a branded and an unbranded hamper is significant — and the cost difference is not.

What happens if you miss the deadline?
Missing the 15 August branded deadline does not mean you cannot gift your India team for Diwali. It means your options narrow:
- 15 August – 15 September: Unbranded standard hampers still available. Good contents, no custom logo or packaging.
- After 15 September: We cannot guarantee pre-Diwali delivery for any order. Some orders may still be fulfilled depending on location and team size — contact us directly to discuss.
- After 10 October: Diwali delivery is not possible for new orders. Consider a post-Diwali employee appreciation hamper instead — these can be ordered year-round.
